INK2013 – All That Matters

INK Live 2013, the engagement oriented event conducted by INK under the aegis of the annual INK Conference in association with TED, began in Kochi on 25th Oct’13 and lasted till 27thOct’13 at the Le Meriden, Maradu. Conceived specially for college going youth and young working professionals, the three-day event witnessed a confluence of renowned artists, entrepreneurs, technologists, designers and scientists engaging with the audience through lively discussions. In addition to providing the live telecast of the conference, INK Live had the audience participate in all-day multi-disciplinary workshops. The Conference began with a melodious performance of an INK Alumnus, Shanker Tucker. The conference was hosted by Lakshmi Pratury and was co-hosted by Nikesh Arora.



Day1 – All That Matters witnessed a soulful journey of a person of how he became an inventor of an interactive dictionary to some very important visionaries amazing experiences. Lakshmi introduced – David Gallo, the deep ocean explorer who reflected how little we know about our planet !

Day 2 – Wisdom Crowd was co-hosted by Nikesh Arora, who introduced Alicia Souza former Banker, now a freelance cartoonist. She shared her amazing and interesting ideas which inspire her to create some very interesting cartoons. Then there was Suniel Thankamushy, a gaming entrepreneur who created a useful and knowledgeable game XPLORE PANGIEA for kids which he shared with us. Next was Scott Cook, who came up with his technologies which helped amazingly to the Mandi traders, shared his entire journey with the audience. The day ended with the famous POP Singer Usha Uthap’s life inside out. She shared her interesting experiences of life and ironic facts which helped her to became and turned into a successful singer of India. She sang a beautiful music piece “SKY FALL” in her own majestic style and spell bounded the audience.

Day3 – Collect and Connect, this session was all about how we collect ideas and people and connect them to each other and to ourselves. The session began with Lakshmi talking about Collecting & Connecting people together so that they can derive value out of their friendship. The session was co-hosted by Asha Jadeja, an Angel Investor from Silicon Valley. The first speaker for the session was Roger Fisk, the PR Guru & Social Media Strategist of the 2008 & 2012 of the Obama campaigns. The foundation of his election winning strategies was honest politics and taking people connecting seriously. Next was Neville Mars , the transformative architect discussed his experiences working with the megacities of China , and the unique challenges presented within those spaces. After Neville’s talk, INK Inner Circle Members Gautam Godhwani and Anusha Ravi Mahesh spoke about the “Launched At INK” session, wherein the INK Fellows showcase who have taken their ideas to the next level.


In short, the INK 2013 , was a journey filled with focus, fun, enthusiasm, amazing facts, notable work, energy and passion which illuminated and moved every single individual present over there and filled their hearts with millions of desires !
