ALIVE

Up in the mountains, serene and green

Helps me clear my head and chase a dream.

Amidst the gleaming sunshine and tall beauty of the trees,

I find my soul cleanse and set free.

Down the babbling brook and crashing waves

I lay there listening to the frogs croak and relish the pristine air.

Strolling barefeet on the tender lush grass

Tickles my toes and gives my worries a pass.

As I watch the sunset and birds soar high

I find my spirits renew and get a break from the judgemental pry.

The tiny rustic wooden cottages

Bring back old sweet memories, releasing me from the cages.

On a sunny mid noon, I watch the children hop, skip and jump

Livens up my mood and gives my concerns a dump.

The sight of buzzing bees and scented blooms

Fills me up with pleasure and withers away my gloom.

On a clear starry night, I witness the shiny lone moon

Transporting me to a magical world of bountiful boons.

The rains soak my dry soul and wash away the old

Bringing me bliss, love and hope for more.

I find myself one with the nature

As its essence is parallel to my world of nurture.

Once in a while I like to be reminded

What it’s like to feel alive and wake up the dead.
