Education is the key asset for achieving power, happiness and success because by using it, we take our destiny in our own hands and thus do not depend on others or on circumstances.
the economic logic can easily come to the conclusion that it is necessary to ensure equal opportunities in education. "Knowledge Society" is a term globally used in the last decade for the economy that is knowledge-based, it is primarily science and technology. In the knowledge society, a high level of education and quality education play a decisive role.
The European Union has its new strategy for the years till 2020, "Europe 2020", as one of the main objectives set is increasing the level of education in Europe. Unfortunately, speak out on equal opportunities in higher education can not be considered a luxury that can be afforded only by the economically developed countries or it is a topic that is yet to come on the agenda after solving other priorities in the education system and society as a whole.
There is therefore a global political trend of emphasizing the importance of education as a key factor of economic development. But there is one additional economic logic for ensuring equal opportunity in education, and it's just that the educational failure and social exclusion, that results from it in the long run expensive for the state. Those individuals without the skills needed to contribute to the social and economic development, generate higher costs for state aid, health and social welfare system.
The world just needs to admit its unique power of education to train or not to train the upcoming generation by successfully dealing with the problems, opportunities and tasks ahead.
If we will work (everyone) on this problem certainly we will have success in terms of education.
