‘It seemed like the world literally crashed around me when I heard my father passed away, knowing that I was the only elder one among my siblings and apparently this responsibility would rely on my shoulders which wasn’t easy at first. I had to go through a lot to make this happen and possible. I fell and then I stood up with more confidence and with that determination to achieve something. Not just for me, but my Siblings and my Beautiful mother who never left my side through my tough time and encouraged me like one super woman’.
Sanaa Aziz Khan, a Renowned Photographer in Islamabad, is one among those people whose story has always been a lesson to learn from. She has inspired billions of Peoples' lives by sharing how her life took such a turn where she learned to take out the skills of Photography; and today her success is prominent and reflected through her work.
At a very young age, Sanaa’s father passed away, where Sanaa the eldest among her siblings took the whole responsibility on her shoulders. They were financially bankrupt with zero assistance from her family or friends. So she apparently had to step out and play the role of breadwinner for herfamily. She initially started off her career with a small freelancing job which was more or less like a start towards her earning career. Later she enrolled herself in university to get higher Education as it was essential to get and there was no way she could stop herself at the college level. A few relatives did help her pay for her first fee that she promised to return the moment she got hold of some money of her own. Later, Sanaa took a major step towards photography events, particularly weddings and soon discovered it to be her latent passion.
At that time, Sanaa stood up and she decided that that’s what she always wanted to pursue. That was her inner capability and she had that skill to fit in as a Photographer. In between, she again got betrayed and cheated by her very own best friends lot who stole her laptop, camera, and a few other necessities, but it was Sanaa’s faith in God, her hope and t will that she did rise and shine again. She stood up and managed to purchase all that again, but she kept learning about her friends and family and never let herself be a burden on anyone.
Today Sanaa’s siblings are enrolled in prestigious colleges and are bright students. They didn't only play a role as siblings, but they were her backbone the entire time this incident took place. They always raised her spirit and were very understanding as Sanaa proudly mentions it.
More than Two years have passed now since Sanaa has been working as a photographer and she absolutely loves what she does. She is proud of herself that she can now afford her family and is part of larger international student-run organization and a prominent student as well.
"I'm thankful to Him for giving me this life and making me who I am today. Throughout the toughest trials of my life, He held onto me as I held onto Him until I finally reached the light at the end of the tunnel. If there's any lesson I've learned from life, it can be summed up as this that Life will continue to show you hardships, but it’s for you to work hard and get out of that darkness. Secondly, people will not help you in time of need, but once you touch success, then they will do every possible bit to turn you down and get jealous of how far you have reached but the best way to retaliate back is through your success. And I am thankful to every one of them who made me more powerful while hating my success and today I can stand up with confidence".
‘One more thing I would like to count on is how much my Mother stood confidently in all this. It’s worth praising. She never gave up hope, knowing she lost our dad in our growing age and she could have easily given up, but it was her motherly strength and will power which never let her lose hope; and my brave tigers (my siblings) have been the best support ever, so, where there is a will there is always a way. One should stay ambitious and aim for the stars’.
There are many young Photographers but no one like Sanaa who proved to be someone whom one can count on. Her struggle throughout paid off as today she is among the top 10 photographers in the wedding photography industry and she is majoring in International Relations with respectable grades. She earned that respect and fame in such young age leaving everyone applause on her success.
