Falling crystal drops
When touch my face,
Enthrall my soul,
Rekindle my heart.
Deep down inside my heart,
Through the corridors
I see a child with zest.
Who wants to play in the rain!
Wishing to build castles
On the shores of her dreams
Where imagination is the sand!
With her wet feet
Feels the touch of sand
Dance! Dance! And Dance!
And
then,
Drenched to
toe!
While standing alone,
Under the sunlight,
With astonishing eyes on rainbow
That’s filtering through the prism of wishes.
Laughs and laughs with joy!!
Waning Gibbous
Rising from
abysmal
Turning from
burning red to rust,
Then translucent
Luminous!
Like, the heart
of a lover changes.

ReplyDeleteThough I am not a poet, and lack poetic sensibility, but I loved that SHORE OF DREAMS AND SAND OF IMAGINATION! and RAINBOW THAT FILTERS THROUGH THE PRISM OF WISHES,,,, highly imaginative.

ReplyDeleteThis is simply gorgeous, Mubashra. I didn't know you were a poet. This poem is simple and beautiful. In the loving memory of my favorite German Poet, Rilke, I would just read it because it reaches my heart and touches upon the areas which are beyond language. It's written from the heart and it should be read through one's heart :) Keep it up and keep enjoying the Rain!
