Year after Year many people around the world embark on proclaiming a New Year resolution over their lives. Many choose to give up a habit or some choose to engage more in some form of activity. Regardless of what that activity is, the question is: Why do we make New Year Resolutions and are they attainable or unattainable?
We all live in various parts of the world where we all are thriving to survive. In the process of thriving in life; many of us normally pick up habits or behaviors that can cause us to be on the losing end of life or the winning side. New Year resolutions are meant to change an individual from one state to another. That state for many is one where they are transitioning from bad to better. New Year Resolutions are attainable and can be powerful to the individual who possesses a discipline mind, body and spirit. However, how many actually stay in line or fully abide by their New Year resolution?
Life tends to throw some of us curve balls thus making us swerve from our course of action. New Year resolutions should be made under the aegis of self-discipline and maturity. They should be made with the utmost sincerity by the persons who make them. We see so many problems and issues in our world whether it is in Government, religion, or health care. By sticking to our New Year Resolution we may indeed be helping the environment we live in and by extension the world that we thrive in.
Everyday around our world individuals strive to reach goals and have an impact in their various societies. We all hold on to things because we cherish them however holding on to something and not changing can work for you or against you. As leaders in our various communities we should be setting our New Year Resolution to be compatible with the change we want to see in our world. So as we further go in to 2015 let us all reflect on what a New Year resolution should be and that in attaining it we all can mold and shape our world for the better and by not attaining it we further add to the many problems our societies face.
