Term globe means sphere, this universe or Earth. Collectively, the term Global Village means a place where people are connected worldwide by telecommunication and are accessible to each other. It is our observation that now cheap travel and modern technologies in travel and communication modes have reduced the distances.Now people are living closely had never before.

It will not be wrong to state, “Global Village has become a reality from illusion. The vision of fastest communication has translated into the fact. Telecommunications and the Internet have become easy to spend a comfortable life. The merger of three critical areas of information, communication, and technology in ICT has changed the face.ICT has joined the almost every corner of the earth from each other through telephone lines, wireless signals and fiber optics. They have changed the methodology and management of businesses and trade. Now we have many chances to talk, text, e-mail, over an internet link or telephonic connections to anyone, anywhere in the world. ICT has also opened the door of live video conferencing, which enhance the research and sharing among people and organizations. We can visit places virtually. Methods and techniques of education have changed. MOOC`s is an example among those. Today many institutes are offering even free courses online in which unlimited participation exists via computer or smartphone with the connection of internet
.Greater access to technology resulting in bridging cultural gap for people who have different cultures. New opportunities for employment are also a gift of Globalization.
No doubt World is linked and interlinked from its very corners but...facts tell that still half of the world`s population is no connection. They are not in connecting with the half world. No doubt, it has shrunk in the sense of faster communications, travel though even now breakfast in Lahore, and lunch in Dubai is no so far from the access of people. However, many of us face resistance and prohibited policy about visas and immigration.
Even Countries have right to prevent the entrance of any citizen. It seems like the two sides of a coin, which are different from each other. To take all the matter into consideration, our sense feel that more advantages we can avail by this revolution but why we still a failure to avail the lion`s share? It shows that The World is not a global village, but it is in the process and needs something more. Definitely, here is a lap, which collapses. A hole, which leaks the efficiency and effectiveness. Some factors or activities exist does not let humanity to avail thoroughly and vigorously from the modern telecommunication. Every conscious eye in the world can see the cold war between two power and influencing nations USA and USSR. Similarly, interstate, intrastate and non-state wars are going on while highest modes of technology and literacy rate exist in the world. In 2014, 29,376 people killed in terrorist attacks in the presence of the fastest communication and Intelligence agencies of countries worldwide. Inventions of M51-SLBM(France) and R-36M(SS-18), Russia-16,000 km can't stabilize the condition of Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Philistine, Bosnia, South Sudan, and Myanmar, Kurdish, Yemen and lots of other areas, or the world is under wars. In contrast with more and more advancement of weapons is on the table not only by the powerful countries but also in development countries. In spite of striving for betterment, in every continent, they are striving for equalizing the state of power.It means these technologies can defend but cannot resolve conflicts fairly with blood shedding. Use of power and advancement, by it, is the only solution for maintaining peace in the universe. We say that cheap cost of travel has made a person accessible to reach anywhere in the world but does any advanced technology can play any role when state`s executive prohibits the citizens of some particular country in his territory? These conditions are the witness that we human just don’t need only advanced modes of technologies but more necessary elements are required, and the thing is “LTLT; learning to live together.”
It means the world is some step away to be a global village and these steps are; Learning to know, learning to do, and learning be. It involves developing, broadening, changing perceptions of an attitude towards others and ourselves consequently.The way we behave, in our daily encounters and interactions with others. There is intense need to create the ability to tolerate the panic situations, to respect each other either belongs to any caste, creed, and nation. To improve the peace, love, and cooperation in-universe, its responsibility to welcome and embrace even celebrate collectively.The need of more diversity with difference people is also a difficult but necessary area of improvement. Equitable distribution of resources has become the challenge for the super powers and biggest democracies. As they have the mother of weapons to fight and defense, but they are unable to spread love, trust, and harmony. Technology has given them powerful weapons to destroy states in minute even seconds, but the technology could not find any useful tool or method to convert conflict into negotiations and win-win situation. Learning to live together teaches us that now we people need to know others histories, traditions, beliefs, values and cultures and to remove these priceless difference through using a tool “diversity. “World is silently demanding for enriching our cultures, for bringing the essence of inter –culture and interfaith education into practice. To make world global village in right manner we have to cope with urgent situation of tension, exclusion, conflict, violence and terrorism. By this we could respond constructively, which will help us to ensure law and order, implementation on human rights and preserving moral and ethical values. In addition, we also need to enable people to live in increasing multi-cultural societies for defense of peace in minds of men. Another important point is to reformulate systematic education for social resolution, mutual understanding ,emph asis on moral and ethics while understanding of spiritual values too .it should be ensured to resolve conflicts and state of tension by social awareness , acceptance, and respect.
In conclusion, Technology is not solely able and responsible for tackling, control and overcome to improve the face of the globe but higher standards of humanity, ethics, and moral values will collectively make the world a real ” Global Village.”
