2013 Theme: 20 Years Working for Your Rights

Human Rights Day 2013 has special significance in this 20th anniversary year of the establishment of the mandate of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. Human Rights Day continues the celebration of the anniversary with 20 YEARS: WORKING FOR YOUR RIGHTS as its theme but with the emphasis on the future and identifying the challenges that lie ahead. The UN General Assembly proclaimed 10th December as Human Rights Day in 1950, to bring to the attention ‘of the people of the world’ the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as the common standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations.

I am working for human rights since the last two years and running an NGO with the name “FREEDOM Movement”. Our Main purpose of this Movement is Peace, Love and Freedom for All Humanity. This Year I was awarded “World Peace Appreciation Certificate 2013” from Inlove Humanity Mission (NGO). Now we have more than 35,000+ worldwide members.

Every Year, We celebrate 5th December as "World FREEDOM Day".

The main question remains: Why we celebrate this day?

What is the most precious element in life?

Is it possibly FREEDOM ?

FREEDOM to chose your own path in life, FREEDOM to benefit from healthcare and proper education, FREEDOM to live in a cleaner world, cultural appurtenance FREEDOM, FREEDOM of speech so you can hear your voice in a sea of people?

According to the Article 13, 28 and 29 Universal declaration of Human Rights:

Article 13

• (1) Everyone has the right to FREEDOM of movement and residence within the borders of each state.

• (2) Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.

Article 28

• Everyone is entitled to a social and international order in which the rights and FREEDOMs set forth in this Declaration can be fully realized.

Article 29

• (1) Everyone has duties towards the community in which the free and full development of his personality is possible.

• (2) In the exercise of his rights and FREEDOMs, everyone shall be subject only to such limitations as are determined by law solely for the purpose of securing due recognition and respect for the rights and FREEDOMs of others and of meeting the just requirements of morality, public order and the general welfare in a democratic society.

About:

We are a group of people seeking solutions for improving the current state of humanity.

Description

We believe that is necessary to have a global perspective on things and act locally in order to repair or upgrade certain aspects affecting the way of life of our fellow humans.

These are the six major areas in which you and I could act:

1: EDUCATION FREEDOM,

2: HEALTH FREEDOM,

3: FREEDOM OF SPEECH,

4: CULTURAL FREEDOM,

5: GREEN FREEDOM,

6: SOCIAL FREEDOM.

Mission

1: EDUCATION FREEDOM:

Helping youth in having access to education, by supporting young people with major financial problems from around the world, or by supporting education institutions through different types of donations (books, specific furniture, educational materials etc).

2: HEALTH FREEDOM:

We need to improve the quantity and quality of the medical services provided around the world. We will act locally by helping different persons in need to have proper medical care and, at the same time improve the situation of different medical institutions around the world especially by donating modern medical technology.

3: FREEDOM OF SPEECH:

As we know we all have the need to express our opinions and perspectives. Unfortunately there are cases in this world where people are not allowed to express, in other words their potential is restricted. We wish to support all those who have courage to express their thoughts.

4: CULTURAL FREEDOM:

We need to support cultural initiatives around the world. After all culture remains the main element in defining identities. New ideas bring new trends which may be the base for new constructions meant to improve the cultural life of communities and enrich the human heritage.

5: GREEN FREEDOM:

Let’s support the planet on which we live. Nature needs our attention to prevent its destruction and ensure sustainable future for the next generations. Defining, identifying and coming up with solutions for all the negative sources that affect the environment should remain a priority of the world in which we live in. Small steps may, one day, build a better world with respect to the always generous Mother Nature.

6: SOCIAL FREEDOM:

The world in which we live is not easy for all human beings. We need to act towards limiting anywhere possible inequalities and injustice. A focus on social issues means a ray of hope for many and, at the same time, donors should feel the emotional enrichment when they act in the name of serving other humans in need. It’s not difficult to see the problems, we all need just to open our eyes and better judge situations and cases around us.
